Responsibilities The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently looking for a Certified Recreation, Art, Dance, or Music Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals.
Who We Are The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is a 156-bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in the Greenville, South Carolina Area. Specializing in psychiatric programs and substance abuse treatments such as detox and rehab, The Carolina Center serves Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and areas throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. Position Summary: - Provide therapeutic recreational, music and activity services to geriatric, adult and adolescent patients
- Assess patients' level of functioning and need for adjunctive therapy services
- Develop and implement activity therapy treatment plans in concert with the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Maintain the clinical and administrative documentation associated with services rendered
- Participate in the ongoing implementation of the department's or service's continuous quality improvement plan

Qualifications Requirements: Education: Bachelors' degree in relevant field and Recreation, Art, Music or Dance Therapy
Experience : Zero- one (0-1) year of experience required. Two (2) years of related experience preferred. A knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
Additional Requirements : Certification required. Successful completion Management Aggressive Behavior Training (HWC) before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting with restraining procedures. Successful certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association for CPR prior to taking an independent patient assignment.
Work Hours: Tuesday- Saturday or Sunday- Thursday start times vary
