\n About the Role
\n We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to join our team in Kearny, NJ. This position is fully onsite, supporting the daily accounting and bookkeeping operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

\n Key Responsibilities
\n Accounts Receivable: \n\n
    \n\t
  • Post and deposit checks daily\n\t
  • Process, charge, and reconcile credit card and ACH payments\n
\n Accounts Payable: \n\n
    \n\t
  • Enter payables accurately into proper ledger accounts\n
\n Collections: \n\n
    \n\t
  • Monitor and follow up on assigned accounts using internal collection procedures\n
\n Commissions: \n\n
    \n\t
  • Reconcile and record commission payments\n\t
  • Knowledge of the 1099 process is a plus\n
\n Payroll: \n\n
    \n\t
  • Assist with payroll processing (experience with ADP preferred)\n
\n Human Resources: \n\n
    \n\t
  • Support the Accounting Manager with various HR-related tasks\n
\n Additional Duties: \n\n
    \n\t
  • Perform special projects or assignments as needed\n
\n \n\n

\n Qualifications \n\n
    \n\t
  • High School Diploma required; College degree preferred\n\t
  • Bilingual skills are a plus\n\t
  • Experience with ERP software (NetSuite) is an asset\n

  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy\n\t
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities\n\t
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook 365\n\t
  • Excellent phone, written, and verbal communication skills\n\t
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities\n
